Sightings

Sometimes it happens by accident…

One of those moments that occurs in an instant… The type of incident that you later recall to your friends as “I wish I had a camera” or “I couldn’t believe it… there it was”. You could see it at the mall and not know why, in a service station or body shop and can’t concieve of the reason that it is there. In front of an Army Surplus store and you nearly drive off the road staring. Sometimes, you see it on the highway, moving under it’s own power or catching a ride. Why does it seem to always be traveling in the other direction? For the lucky few highway travelers, it is… How far do you chase it to find out where it’s going? Is it coming to your neighborhood, just passing through, or worse… it was here all the time, you didn’t know it and now it is leaving.

Sometimes, it is not an accident…

This time you are ready for it, you have your camera, your friends as witnesses (but not your little brother… him, you want to have wish he hadn’t upset you this morning… for the rest of his life!), and you have diligently hunted it down yourself. It is not going to get away from you this time! This time you know right where it is going to be.

After all that work, wouldn’t it have been great if someone had told you where it was going to be in the first place. Wouldn’t it have been great to get the info from other successful trackers like yourself? A tracker who has mapped out the patterns of where it migrates every year? Wouldn’t you love to have the inside information on where it is right now?

Now you can…

By pooling your information with others, you can discover the location of your favorite Star Cars.

It may be coming to your hometown this weekend, but did you know that it was in Phoenix last weekend? Did you know that it has been in the parking lot of a hotel 5 blocks from your house for the last three days waiting to go to the convention center?

Of course you do…

Because the employee of the hotel where the crew is staying emailed Code One Sightings a photo of the car on an open trailer and we posted it.

Maybe you were that hotel employee… You saw this strange car in the parking lot. Why is it here, does someone own and drive this car? Is it on its way to a show? Are they filming a movie nearby? Is Batman in room 347? Now you know why because someone who is waiting to see the car this weekend emailed us with his local autoshow listing and we posted it.

Perhaps, you didn’t see this car yesterday. Possibly you were at an autoshow 6 years ago and took some fantastic photos of yours and probably someone else’s favorite TV car and would like to share them.

We get dozens of requests every week for the most recent photos of this car or that. You can help.

And this is where…

Email us with your favorite behind the scenes photos of TV and Moviecars taken anywhere but the screen and we will add them to our own posted photo album here in SIGHTINGS. By letting your fellow Star Car “Trackers” know that the Flying Delorean was at the Civic Center 5 years ago and has been coming back each year. You fill in the gaps in their hunting info that would enable them to see, in person, their dream car or favorite wheeled celebrity.

Here are a few SIGHTINGS so far…
